A nine-year-old girl has been shot dead in Missouri as she lay doing her homework on her mom’s bed.
Repots indicate that the shooter fired from relatively close range into the house where Jamyla was doing her homework. Her mother suffered a serious wound to her leg in the incident.

Officers arrived and worked desperately to save the little girl.

The scene of the senseless fatal shooting of Jamla Bolden is just one block the intersection of West Florissant Avenue which was the location of nights of violent rioting in the wake of the officer-involed shooting of Michael Brown.

De'Eris Brown, 21, confessed to the killing of Jamyla Bolden
Brown was taken into custody by US Marshals at an area hospital. He was “charged with three counts of armed criminal action, and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, including second degree murder.”

In spite of having confessed to the killing of Jamyla Bolden, the alleged shooter De'eris Brown awaits trail in the case. He is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. His trial date is set for January 22, 2018. The Case Number is: 15SL-CR05782-01
